Surfing undergoes rebrand to clean up image

Surfing events in the Westcountry have recently undergone a rebranding in order to try and put an end to the long-haired, spliff smoking, slacker 'surf dude' stereotype.

The rebranding has been part of an expensive enterprise undertaken in collaboration with local councils looking to promote an anti-drug/safe-sex message for teenagers living in coastal areas. There are some fears however that the rebranding has not quite resulted in the message they were aiming for, with recent Cornish competitions including the "White Stuff Surf Relief Pro" *sniff* and the "Lusty Glaze Night Surf".

Rumours that the next event to be held is the "Felching Smack Surf Open" have as yet been unconfirmed.
