It seems that since leaving ECFC for Torquay, Paul Buckle's main objective is to bring the ECFC squad with him! Buckle has already signed ex-ECFC keeper Martin Rice and is now looking to land striker Lee Phillips and current City skipper Chris Todd.

The transfer speculation raises serious questions about the players respect for the old ECFC management team, with certain players preferring to follow ex-assistant manager Paul Buckle to Torquay rather than stay under existing manager Paul Tisdale at City. Martin Rice allegedly commented on a website before the play-off final that ECFC manager Tisdale is "an absolute W*NKER... TISDALE should f*ck off back to uni the C*NT, an stop suckin Perrymans c*ck." This alleged comment however did follow Rice being dropped.

With City still searching for a new number two to Tisdale and key players jumping ship, ECFC will be lucky to start next season with 11 players - although Tisdale now seems keen on replacing the transferees with the squad from Team Bath.
