Excitement all the way at ECFC

09/09/06
Three thousand, nine hundred and thirty-three turned out at St. James Park this afternoon to witness a small patch of paint on one of the grandstand walls dry.

"It was amazing" enthused one fan, "It wasn't just the drying of the paint - but after a while it also started to crack too!"

Coincidentally, a football match between Exeter City and Aldershot also took place. However, one or two people who switched their attention from the paint to the match had to be treated for coma related symptoms due to the brain melting tedium brought on by the match.

The next opportunity to view this piece of paint dry is on Tuesday, 19th September 2006, when ECFC will also be hosting St Albans. However, St John's Ambulance staff who attended this afternoon's proceedings advised "In the interest of stopping vegetative state cases, keep your attention focused on the paint drying and not the football."
