Pointless friendlies announced
0 commentsThe validity of these pre-season friendlies with lowly opposition are regularly brought into question, with players complaining about playing too many games and an ensuing lack of effort/desire resulting in some friendly matches appearing like geriatric kickabouts.
Under Sven Goran Eriksson's leadership (sic) England International friendlies were regularly reduced to a farce with more substitutes on the bench than fans in the terraces, whilst bright, emerging players were hopelessly played out of position for the final 10 minutes of a game and never seen again.
Tisdale however, hopes that the schedule below will give him the chance to blood up-and-coming players like new signing, 36 year old Andy Marriott.
