Buck off to Torquay
0 commentsAssistant manager Paul Buckle has left ECFC to take over the reigns at recently relegated Torquay United, and shocked fans by saying "I will bring enthusiasm" - something he regularly lacked on the pitch!
Buckle has limited managerial experience and recently went to a fancy dress party dressed as a pumpkin in the hope that when midnight struck he would turn into a coach.
Buckle's first action as Torquay manager has been to sign ECFC's petulant, want-away goalkeeper Martin Rice. Rice refused to travel with the ECFC squad to their play-off final at Wembley after being told he had been dropped.
He did however make the trip to Wembley as a spectator, and was seen pissing it up in the stands. Numerous people associated with the club were shocked at his antics, but many Chinese followers always expected to see Rice in a paddy.
