0 commentsThe holder of the British long jump record, Chris Tomlinson was grounded when he tried to leave for Holland to compete in an international meeting in Hengelo by staff of British European at Exeter Airport.
Apparently the nine-and-a-half years-old passport which he used every week to travel to events across Europe was no longer acceptable as the photograph had become 'damaged'.
Instead, he went to Manchester to compete in the British Athletics League fixture where he was denied a new league record as he was only taking part as a guest.
