Losing to Exeter can cost you your job

After a 3-1 home defeat against Exeter City, Conference side Cambridge United sacked both their Manager and Assistant Manager. Such was the disgust of the Chairman, it is believed he has also fired the tea lady, kit-man and punched a ball boy.

Whether it was his estimation of the opposition, or the manner of the defeat, that enraged the Chairman is unknown.

Exeter City were gifted 3 points in a match where Cambridge keeper Paul Crichton pushed a cross-cum-shot into his own net and midfielder Ritchie Hanlon was sent off for throwing the ball away.
