Spring curse set to strike again
0 commentsAfter maintaining a play-off place for much of the season, ECFC drew 1-1 on Saturday against play-off rivals York - who had to play 70 minutes with 10 men after having a defender sent off – and followed up this disappointing result with another defeat on the road, this time away at Forest Green continuing a run of four consecutive away losses. It appears that ECFC are about as good on the road as Jenson Button!! (actually – compared against 1 win in 120-odd attempts – even City ain't that bad)
As the usual clichés about too many matches being played, strength in depth and squad sizes are tossed about at this time of year, the annual capitulation of ECFC is being painfully observed by the fans.
Of course traditionally it was the club's owners that had nervous trouble at this time of year, but then that was due to their 'creative' tax returns!
Rest In Purgatory Russell and Lewis!
