Chiefs given opportunity for revenge
The Chiefs progressed due to a convincing fourth round victory over lower league opposition Henley, winning 34-13. The result did not flatter the Chiefs who ran in 4 tries in blustery conditions.
The Chiefs have enjoyed seesawing success against Bedford this season, losing a league encounter away but beating them at home. If the Chiefs do manage to extract revenge for their cup defeat last season, it is believed they will carry out their namesakes’ traditions of planting a totem pole on the half-way line and scalping the opposition fly-half.
Sports Editor Comment:
Building a casino would also be a fitting tribute to the American-Indian emblem, but Exeter City Council would never approve the scheme (illustrated by the decision to turn the building above the new sorting office into Vue – great! – another fucking cinema!)
