Weymouth open January sales
0 commentsThe Dorset side have been promoted through the leagues in recent seasons but have hit financial problems this season when a play-off place was looking increasingly likely.
The financial situation is down to chairman Martyn Harrison – in his own words - "getting a bit carried away". Fans are worried as to what other actions the chairman may make, perhaps installing Nick Leeson as club accountant?
City are hoping to benefit from Weymouth’s misfortune and hope to land winger Lee Elam, striker Richard Logan and possibly full back Steve Tully to bolster their promotion chances. Whether the turnstile operator, kit man and tea lady are available is also being investigated.
Tisdale has been quoted as saying "We don't want to see any clubs in this predicament. There is certainly no gloating on our behalf and it was a real shock", whilst holding his hand over his mouth, sniggering and blowing a raspberry.
