Local snooker star in 147 escape

In a recent League match between GWR and Polsloe Social Club, Lee Folland followed up a 55 break in the first frame with a near 147 in the second.

OAPs all around the social club could be heard gasping (or perhaps they were wheezing) as Folland, 27, split the reds from the break and was left an easy starter by his opponent after a loose safety.

An in-form Lee potted the red and screwed back to leave a straight black. However the long list of expletives that left his mouth after over-running position for the second red caused as much offence as the shot.

A wild slash confirmed Lee's occasional temperament problem, but the red-black combination ranks alongside his best attempts at the maximum.

Lee was unavailable for comment concerning rumours that he celebrated victory by refusing a tight brown and going straight for an easy pink.
