Bring back Athena

There's a lot of bollocks written on this site - Suicide Cows, Smells travelling by Bus, Boy Racers having to wait for a burger (Exclusive!) - but sometimes the truth really is stranger than fiction.

Greece, a country whilst not exactly being famous for its football exploits, despite famous victories including the national team winning the European Championships in 2004 as well as club side Panathinaikos reaching the final of the European Cup, has shockingly bought into the ECFC phenomenon.

The Greek Grecians (they really exist) is a supporters club for Exeter City largely based in Athens.

Clues for the emergence of this club could be down to current Manager Paul Tisdale's stint playing there, the still inexplicable club nickname 'The Grecians', or most likely the popularity of previous club Mascot - Athena The Goddess.

Anyone who frequented St James Park 2-3 seasons ago will remember the gorgeous blond figure clad in a white toga, a far cry from the bloke in a hairy suit we currently have as mascot.
