Pigeon killed in golf driving range mishap

At Clifton Hill Driving Range on Wednesday night, a pigeon was tragically (?) blown out of a tree where it was perching.

The identity of the assailant is unknown as the incident happened during an especially busy session and the rogue shot was that badly sliced the original position of the ball could not be calculated. But what is known is that a high fly right drive was struck particularly fiercely towards the trees aligning the range, and where the ball entered the foliage, a pigeon exited!

The range manager commented that the incident was a shame, especially as the death of a seagull or two wouldn't go amiss.
