0 commentsAfter Michael Jackson was made an honorary director of Exeter City football club back in July 2002 the ECFC fans have pitched in to finance a 9 foot high statue of the singer in the Ivor Doble stand as a memorial.
Jackson was a good friend of Uri Gellar (just don't mention Martin Bashir) who once ask Jackson if he knew anyting about football. He replied "absolutely nothing but I love Exeter City" making him one of the most knowledgable directors in the club's history.
As a director Jackson could enjoy free admission to any games he may want to attend and was able to travel to away matches with the players on the club coach, although we're guessing that might make the youth team a little uncomfortable.
