Footballing heroes host victory parade
0 commentsIt's come to our attention that the lads at St James Park have managed to do something that they've never done before, by being promoted two seasons running.
On Saturday 9th May the boys in the red and white stripes will be paraded through town on a victory bus, from St. James' Park to the Guildhall, as they're now in league one, or the third division in old money.
Many thought it would never happen, especially with the furore following Uri Gellar and Michael Jackson's involvement with the club (has anyone seen the youth team lately?), but after a strong season, with something to prove, the lads have shown the City Supporters Trust that with the right backing they really can do something or other.
So well done chaps, you showed them. The Echo will probably roll out another collectors edition commemorative cover that will be utterly worthless by next week, but we can't hold that against you.
