Chiefs batter rejects
0 commentsExeter Chiefs racked up a whopping 62-0 victory on Saturday against a Cornish All-Blacks team made up of a number of former Chiefs players.
In the build-up to the game, much was mentioned about the closeness of the two sets of players – with Chiefs flanker Alan Miller and full-back Jason Luff both revealing their ties to the opposition. Miller commented "I know a lot of the Launceston boys and am really looking forward to the game... they have got some really good players down there and my housemate, the loosehead, is one of them". Luff also added "One of my closest friends, Pete Fisher, who was here last season, is at Launceston now so it will be a bit weird playing against him. And there are also my two housemates - Sam and Tom." As the scoreline shows it's fair to say the Cornish side aren't just friendly, but generous too.
With the Cornish All Blacks now languishing second from bottom, Exeter Chiefs will be hoping the Launceston based side can stick around, so they have somewhere to offload their friendly rejects.
