City midfielder makes odd pundit

05/03/08 - 0 comments

Exeter City continued their recent run of good form with a hard fought 2-2 draw away at Crawley last night.

City have now stretched their unbeaten run to 10 games, including six victories and, characteristically, four draws. But in a recent interview former ECFC skipper Matt Gill seemed unusually chirpy about the number of stalemates, commenting "We were slightly disappointed in the first half of the season with the draws, but now those draws are looking good." He also commented about his goal against Altrincham on Saturday "Wayne went wide, I carried it into the box, got a little bit of a nosebleed, wiped the blood off my nose, took it around one of their players with the best trick I have ever seen and fired it in the top bin via a slight deflection,"

Results of Gill's recent random drug test are being eagerly awaited...
