Devon authorities beat rivals in yearly piss-up championship

Devon recorded it's first ever victory over neighbours Cornwall in the annual cork collection competition which runs from the first of December each year. Devon's total of 20,895 included a whopping 15,850 generated by staff of Devon County Council.

Torbay Council shipped in with around 1,200 corks, Exeter City Council managed 3,935 corks whilst the Devon County Council Business Management department topped the charts with 5,437(!), winning them a luxury hamper.

A team representative from Business Management commented "It made it a special event and we really enjoyed ourselves." I BET YOU DID, good to see that the Council Tax we pay every month isn't just going straight into the pockets of a bunch of piss-heads...(?)
