City sneak into play-off spot

A 2-1 home victory over Farsley Celtic at the weekend leapfrogged ECFC into fifth position and into the vital play-off places.

City are now just one point ahead of Burton Albion in sixth who have a game in hand, but with 14 league games left until the end of the season City manager Paul Tisdale has come up with a unique way of assessing the league table. He said "Whether we're there in the second week or the last week of the season, really all that matters is that last week and we've got to do that".

Using such startling logic, Tisdale highlights another example of absolute truth. Light travels faster than sound, ergo people appear bright until you hear them speak.
