"Boo"t up the arse for Buckle

Like many underachieving ECFC players before him, Paul Buckle in recent matches has been given a torrid time by factions of the ECFC faithful. And despite his cries to the media after Saturday's result, it seems the barrack has had a much needed reaction.

The plain fact is, that ECFC fans will put up with limited ability players (and we've seen a fair few of late!!) but will not tolerate a lack of effort and desire on the pitch. Especially when it comes from a player whose performance can clearly lift the team and definitely from a player who is the Assistant Manager!

Buckle claimed "It is not a nice feeling when you come on and a certain section boo and it is not a nice feeling when you get a sarcastic clap when you come off." Well you know what? It's not a nice feeling following a team who consistently under-achieve and do not deliver to the best of their potential.

Buckle's performance on Saturday clearly helped Exeter City scrape a 1-0 win over Southport, and whilst he may not appreciate his treatment from "certain sections", it certainly resulted in a positive reaction.
