Lack of responsibility gives Gill a boost
Gill, 27, resigned the captaincy as he said he had enough problems trying to recapture some half-decent form. Apparently, having to call heads or tails at the start of each match was taking it's toll on Gill, whose performances since giving up being captain have slightly improved.
In a reversal of fortunes, City defender Rob Edwards has been made full-time player-coach until the end of the season. His new responsibilities will include picking up the players, air conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities, and 35 miles per gallon on the open road.
