Loonies take over the forum

06/02/08
The BBC sport website has introduced a revolutionary new scheme whereby their 606 sport forum seems to be employed by regular contributors with almost a complete lack of the most basic comprehension skills.

The 606 site was designed to encourage debate over a range of sporting issues, triggered by insightful articles written by informative contributors. However, the piss-poor site now features, amongst other regular columns of bullshit, a weekly piece by the ridiculous Derek Robbo Robson.

Whether this grumpy, one-dimensional, mono-brain-celled character is a failed attempt at humour or a genuine fucking idiot is unproven, although by his own admission his brief is simply to 'write it as I see it'. Through the eyes of an utter fuckwit then.

Yet depressingly the regular winter sports contribution is even more subnormal. Every week a piece appears 'written' (or more likely dictated) by Ski Sunday's Graham Bell, listing the features to be contained in that weekend's episode. And every week a long list of replies slamming the new format for pointless celebrity features, reports on Bell's aimless jaunt around the Alps, avoiding snow and bothering goats, Bell and co-twat Ed Leigh smoozing with celebs and generally enjoying themselves in exotic locations at the license fee payer's expense - and most importantly an almost complete lack of any actual competitive Skiing coverage. A relevant point that surely even a half-wit could understand. Sadly however, it seems that Bell can't read as the hundreds of replies fall on deaf ears and Ski Sunday continues to become a cross between Top Gear and Wish You Weren't Here.

An unnamed source at the BBC later explained 'With the 606 forums now run by imbeciles, the general public's expectation level of feedback, justification and acknowledgement is at an all time low, saving the rest of us a lot of work.'

See it to believe it
