City out in trophy disaster

ECFC crashed out of the FA Trophy on Saturday after going down 3-0 away at Rushden & Diamonds. To further compound matters, City defender Jon Richardson received a red card for a professional foul and will now face a ban.

Exeter City have now been knocked out in the early stages of the FA Cup, Setanta Shield and FA Trophy this season. With an increasingly tricky-looking away tie at Bideford coming up in the St Lukes Bowl, it looks likely the ECFC Trophy Cabinet will be going unhindered for another year.
