Mackie Takes The Plaudits

In form Exeter City striker Jamie Mackie has been named the Blue Square Conference Player of the Month for December. Throughout a productive month for the club, Mackie notched up an impressive 4 goals in 5 matches.

The award will doubtless fuel further transfer speculation surrounding the player, with one offer having already been recently turned down by ECFC from League One side Cheltenham Town. City fans will be hopeful however, that the enormity of the award will make Mackie less open to offers of improved incentives from rival clubs.

As Conference Player of the Month, Mackie will receive a cheque for £19.99, a "Free Small Coffee at Starbucks" voucher, a Blue Square mouse mat and the club have also chipped in with the bonus of a free allotment area at the Cat & Fiddle training ground.
