Runaway winner is runaway fugitive?

The William Hill Gold Cup Chase at Exeter Racecourse on Tuesday was won by a 'horse' under the name of Pablo Du Charmil – sparking a certain amount of curiosity from Interpol.

Since the end of the infamous Cocaine Cartel wars of the 80s and 90s, American authorities have been chasing many of the Cartel leaders who were smuggled out of South America and have been living in exile around the globe. One such leader was Pablo Du Limrach – whose surname is coincidentally a palindrome of the horse's.

U.S. Intelligence sources believe Du Limrach and his bodyguard were smuggled out of the country in a synthetic pantomime horse costume and have been hiding out in the stables of wealthy Home Counties contacts and living off nosebags full of white powder. Both trainer and jockey strongly refute the claims, but stewards were some what taken aback by the sight of the colt celebrating victory with a bottle of bubbly.
