ECFC chose the Halloween period to produce a fitting exorcism in the form of a superb attacking display. Stafford Rangers have been a bit of a bogey team for City in recent years, but on Saturday the relegation threatened side found themselves on the end of a 5-1 mauling.

Goals from Carlisle, Mackie, Basham and two from Matt Taylor helped ECFC to their biggest win of the season.

Manager Paul Tisdale was delighted with the performance and advised that knocking on the opposition dressing room door before the kick-off and shouting "Trick or Treat" made their back four most hospitable.
