Racing pigeon route brought to a standstill

26/10/07
A common racing pigeon route which runs from the South of Wales to the North of France is gaining considerable adverse publicity due to the inexplicable loss of many pigeons. There is a specific area along the route that runs over Exeter, which is starting to resemble the Bermuda Triangle.

Racing pigeon trainers in and around the Cardiff area are becoming increasingly exasperated as their fine, thoroughbred birds seem to be making it no further on their way to Normandy than Sidwell Street, Exeter. An inspection of the area has been carried out by independent racing pigeon officials, who have given a damning report of the locale.

Elements such as large volumes of KFC, pizza, leftover beer cans, kebabs and chips which permanently line the pavements of Sidwell Street are providing irresistible temptations for the racing birds, as are the flagrant displays of tartishness by the resident Sidwell Street pigeons. The officials actually described the local feathered community as "the filthiest, horniest breed they had come across, frequently engaging in random orgies and gorging themselves on junk food and special brew".

Good to see the residency of Sidwell Street hasn't changed too much since I left...
