City look to increase home 'advantage'

After ECFC dropped yet another 2 points at home on Saturday, sources close to the club management have revealed they are set to investigate opportunities whereby benefits of playing at home can be exploited.

A 1-1 draw with Ebbsfleet on Saturday meant that ECFC have now won only 1 out of 6 home matches – a meagre return for a club looking to win promotion. As a result of their poor home form, club analysts have concluded that certain modifications may need to be made. More penalties, free kicks and opponents sent off could all increase ECFC's chances of winning home games, and plans are being drawn up to produce this required effect.

At the brainstorming stage, ideas such as removing the white from the red and white shirt, appointing a moody Scottish manager, changing the stadium’s title to the Opera House of Bollocks and amending the team name to Exeter United, are all being pondered to gain favourable outcomes.
