St James' Park Hoodoo continues

After a dogged away win at Farsley at the weekend, ECFC once again undid their hard work by throwing away 2 points at home against Forest Green. Last night's result marked City's fourth straight home draw in a row, sparking a frenzy amongst gamblers.

The manner of ECFC's ability to end up all square at the end of 90 minutes at the Park has been a peculiar occurrence. The run started with a draw against York despite dominating the first 80 minutes of the match. City also somehow managed only a draw against 10-man Weymouth, and were pegged back to finish level against Cambridge after taking the lead.

The hoodoo continued in bizarre circumstances last night after ECFC succeeded in squandering a 2-0 and 3-2 lead, conceding in injury time to finish 3-3.

With the visit of Ebbsfleet United at the weekend, bookies in the area have been flooded with large quantities of bets for another draw. Mind you, the manner of defending by one or two of the City defenders last night might suggest that the players also had a few quid on the result!
