$#@!
0 commentsCity were 1-0 up thanks to a debateable penalty converted by the lively Richard Logan who, along with man of the match Jamie Mackie, chased, harried and constantly asked more questions of the York back four than Jeremy Paxman in a huff! That was until 12 minutes left, however, when Tisdale decided to bring off both strikers and immediately hand the initiative to the visitors. The remainder of the match was played in the Exeter half before a shitty equaliser meant the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
If they weren't already aware, the ECFC management team should now have learnt the lesson that taking off your two best players on the night when defending a slender one goal lead with just under a quarter of the match remaining is not a good idea. They should also now be aware that for all his effort and good tackles, Jon Richardson is not a midfielder, a fact highlighted by his passing ability picking out more red and white shirts in the stand than on the pitch.
As ECFC continue to search for a number two to Tisdale, it seems the job for the new assistant manager will not be to come up with tactical masterstrokes or strategic reshuffles – but just make Tisdale leave the fucking players on the pitch!
