Carillion: At it again
0 commentsIRB regulation states that the playing area should be no more than 100x70m and the in-goal area no more than 22m. The length and breadth of the playing area are to be as near as possible to the dimensions indicated [1].
The new pitch, which replaces 3 full sized pitches before the revamp, will be only 67m long and 45m wide. The old Pitches were built over and are now the site for the new school building and car park, whilst the old school building is where the new pitch will be going.
West Exe's head of rugby and head warden, former Plymouth Albion player and Devon County captain Nick Leonard, said teachers were told they would be getting a full-sized pitch.
Mr Leonard said: "There is enough space to put two pitches where the old school used to be, but it appears that what we will be left with is a pitch so small that it will not even be of a suitable size to play school matches on.
"This is not a temporary measure but permanent and will affect generations of pupils to come".
It goes to show, if you trust the future of our children to money grabbing bastards, things are bound to go wrong.
