Shit! It's nearly Christmas!

Yes, it's that time of year again. ECC have dragged out the tinsel and a fiver's worth of fairy lights, now it just remains for Noel 'No Deal' Edmonds to turn them on, marking the start of late night shopping.

The lights will be turned on by someone hiding round the back as Noel pushes the big pretend button at about 7:30 tomorrow night before another big firework display.

Other guests turning up for the 'event' will be Shrek, Titan the Robot, Crealy's Dina the Dinosaur and the Harvey and Honey Bear characters, whoever the hell they are.

The whole she-bang kicks of at 5:30pm in Bedford Square where Noel will be helping Titan the Robot kick Shrek's ass.

Many city centre shops will be opening until 9pm until the 21st of December, although shoppers are urged to travel to town by bus, as cars are evil. Apparently.
