Traffic held up by swans

Traffic was held up this morning as 3 swans caused chaos in the bus lane on Exe Bridges, heading into St. Thomas.

The 3 swans were milling about the place and generally causing a general nuisance for all southbound traffic.

Anyone trying to get to work today, particularly on a bus, may be late in as a result.

This is not the first time birds have been responsable for delays, only last month 2 swans were found wandering through the Haven Banks area near the bowling alley.

The Environmental services have been called out and the animals will be shot on sight to avoid further complications.
