Sheep bursts into flames at Devon County Show

Shortly before 12:00 one of the sheep at the Devon County Show spontaneously burst into flames due to the extreme high temperatures at the start of this years show.

A team of fire-fighters were on hand, but unfortunately, as it was just the cycle display team all they could only stand and watch the helpless sheep, whilst forming a human pyramid and other geometric shapes to ease it's suffering.

There are chances of showers as we approach the weekend, so hopefully no further incidents like this will occur, although a passer-by is reported as saying it "smelled delicious".

The remains of the sheep will be ceremonially wrapped in a bap, smeared with mint sauce and made available from the food tent later on in the afternoon.
