Drug smuggler actually jailed
1 commentA woman from Bradninch has actually been jailed for drug offences after being stopped coming into the country with £566k worth of cocaine in her luggage.
Diana Seymour was sent down for a total of 12 years for attempting to get over 3kg of 100% pure cocaine into the country through London Heathrow and past the UK Border Agency.
At the trial (which we're assuming wasn't in Exeter, given the sentence) the jury heard that after X-raying and probing a number of bottles, jackets and cling film-wrapped books, a large quantity of class 'A's were found.
Presumably, having heard about recent sentencing and the handing out of ASBOs for quite major drug offences, the worst she was expecting was a slap on the wrist and being told to say she won't do it again.
Happy days.
