The difference between Exeter and Plymouth

21/01/10 - 0 comments

You may not think there's much between them at times, but these two stories from our respective local rags clearly highlight the key differences.

First out, a Plymouth lady getting it oh, so wrong:

Jenna Horgan, alleged glamour girl from Hartley, is staging a wet T-shirt contest to raise money for charity. Nowt wrong with that, you might think, but wait. This is a wet T-shirt contest with a difference.

As part of her efforts to become Miss Plymouth 2010 and get to the finals of Miss England, Miss Horgan will be having a wet T-shirt contest where "All the girls will wear bras or bikinis tops under their tee-shirts".

Umm, what? I know models are supposed to be a bit dippy, but seriously, can she not see the problem there?

Meanwhile, in our fair city, the Echo, Macmillan Cancer Support and Exeter Leukaemia Fund have organised a sponsored whoring, with ladies of the night marching round a 10 mile route on Saturday, April 17.

At last year's event there were "more than 1,100 women pounded" according to the Echo so get in quick. Registration costs £10 and all proceeds go to charity. Bargain.
