Is there anyone still working?

The BBC has obtained figures showing the sickness rates at many of the local councils, showing costs to the taxpayer of over £550,000 in some cases.

Exeter City Council, whilst not one of the councils with it's staff having an average of 9.15 days off sick, costing the city £551,105. North Devon District Council's higher average of 9.75 days only works out to £101,000 lost.

That's quite a loss of funds, but we're beginning to wonder how much time the councils are wasting fulfilling these freedom of information (FoI) requests that the media seem so happy to submit to them.

Is it time to submit an FoI request to find out how much time is spent dealing with FoI requests, or are we in danger of sending the council into a self referential infinite loop?
