1 commentThe MET's new toy is reportedly the size of 2 football pitches, has the power of 100,000 home computers and is 30 times more powerful than their previous computer.
The computer is said to be the second most powerful in UK and is amongst the top 20 in the world.
The new machine breaks the atmosphere down into a grid of boxes about 1.5km, the previous machine used 4km boxes, allowing hem to get a much more detailed picture of what is likely to happen. Or so they say.
We still think you can't get more accurate than this.
