MET Office ignores Exeter
1 commentThe Roman town of Isca Dumnoniorum has sat on the banks of the river Exe since AD 50, although it was founded much earlier, but the MET Office seems to have forgotten Exeter exists at all.
The MET Office's website offers a gadget to install either on your Vista sidebar, the Firefox browser or on the iGoogle homepage, but when you come to configure it you may experience a small problem.
Having chosen your region (South West England) you'll find Exeter is not listed among the options, even though the MET Office itself is based in exeter.
Camborne, Dunkeswell and Plymouth are there, but Exeter is no-where to be found.
It seems like they've either forgotten where they work or already know how the weather's going to be and can't be bothered to tell the rest of us about it in a quick and handy fashion.
So come on guys, what's the deal? You're leaving a whole city relying on our lacklustre 'predictions' which are mostly based on going outside and looking up.
