Strange lights in the sky over Devon

For the last two nights, residents of Exeter and Tiverton have been witness to strange lights floating in the evening sky.

On Saturday night at around 9pm four bright flickering lights were seen soaring straight up into the sky before, one by one, fading out and disappearing altogether, and a further 3 were seen moving at high speed across Beacon Heath late Sunday evening.

It's not known who, or what, was behind these lights, but it's thought that they may have been simple paper lanterns floating harmlessly through the sky, either that or the Martians really have landed.

23/01/2010 1900-1905 2 bright red/orange balls of light seen in the sky above Tiverton. One appeared to circle around the other before seemingly joining the other light, then seperating and moving to the west then fading out.....very strange

Srange single orange light moving erratically over Yeoford, Credtion at 19:20 tonight. seeping up and almost stopping and moving from side to side slowly faded after about 4 mins

Three of these floating lights came over my house. They came from over Sticklepath/Okehampton flying in the direction of Launceston. The light source flickers, but as they are quite high and the light is bright if they were candles they would have to be very big indeed. They are silent and shaped. I cant rationise what i have seen.... weird...

Just to add there were 3 of them, one at a time at about a 10min interval starting around 7.30pm

I witnessed several of these strange red bright lights several weeks ago while walking my dog near my home in Tiverton. Tonight I witnessed about 6 or 7 of them this time in a different direction. Very curious

I saw four light on top of my head following me for quiet a while. I don't know when it started but i know it's not prank, trick or anything like that human do.

I've just seen 2 rd lights flying up at a fast speed over mount Pleasant, then the flew very close together, towards heavitree. This was 2345.
