Daring rooftop rescue

Fire-fighters in Torrington (you can't call them firemen any more) made a daring rooftop rescue on Saturday morning, retrieving a cat which had been stuck on a roof for more than 24 hours.

According to the North Devon Journal the fire-fighters used a tall ladder to access the roof (presumably a short one would have been useless!) and bring down the stranded kitty.

The cat has been offered support to help it get over this emotional ordeal.
