Plymouth knicker thief sentenced

OK, so not exactly Exeter news, but we couldn't pass this one up. A Plymouth heroin addict has been sentenced to 9 months after stealing ladies intimates from BHS.

The man also stole a stereo from a parked van, but left behind a screwdriver with his DNA plastered all over it. Silly boy.

Our favourite part is the way the Plymouth Herald report the theft:

"Phillip Mason, 24, concealed the underwear, which was valued at £28, under his jacket, took it home and put it in a cupboard."

Now that's what we call quality journalism.

Phillip essentially got off scot-free for his little panty-raid as he only got 1 month for the theft, to be served concurrently with the 9 months handed down for the van break-in.
