It might, or might not rain
0 commentsThe MET office has given it's preliminary forecast of the Easter weekend's weather and the message is not entirely clear.
"Only a few years ago we would not have been able to forecast this far ahead. Improvements in weather forecasting [...] allow us to give an earlier indication of what the weather over Easter will be like" although they do admit that they are "less certain than we would be only two days ahead."
Well the cows have been observed, the seaweed has been examined and the results are in.
"The Easter period is likely to have mixed weather."
Temperatures are likely to be between 11° and 14°, although it might be warmer in the south.
The best news is that there will be "good spells of warm spring sunshine" (good times) although there is "a likelihood of showers" (bad times).
Ewen McCallum, Chief Meteorologist, said "We are continually pushing our science to the limits, [...] precise detail a week ahead is at the cutting edge of forecasting."
Indeed.
