The end of an era
4 commentsAnyone who has a friend with a birthday coming up take note, one of the most interesting shops in Exeter has closed it's doors for the last time. Clayhanger has shut.
The shop in Gandy street which has been there as long as anyone can remember, selling interesting bits and bobs along with the usual chocolate willies and inflatable boobs, simply has a notice in the window saying they've been forced to close by the current economical downturn.
If you ever went in you could guarantee the place would be busy and brimming with people milling about buying this and that although we're guessing people don't have the few extra pennies left over for that little something nice.
The next generation of children will not get to experience looking at the naughty fridge magnets and cream filled boobs and feeling a bit naughty in the process.
You were an institution and a landmark. Clayhanger, you will be missed.
