Insert weather related pun here
0 commentsAt first it seemed as though Exeter was immune to the ice-storms and snow that seemed to be engulfing the rest of the country, but finally, shortly after lunch yesterday it began.
The madness began pretty much straight away. We already knew that the rest of the country had gone bat-shit-mental because of the light snow, approximately half of London was closed, so we could only guess at the outcome once Exeter and Devon councils were given the chance to screw everything up.
Thankfully there wasn't much they could really do to fuck up the weather, but we suspect there were many emergency meetings discussing how to piss off the public at large.
A few roads were impassable due to the snow drifts causing a few suburban bus services to be revised or even cancelled and a few outlying schools were closed, but mostly things in Exeter just carried on regardless, oblivious to the white terror menacing our fair city's streets.
All in all another mediocre snowfall, but the MET are promising us more, although we reckon we've had the best of it already.
