Stage is set for illumination

The stage is set for tonight's festivities, the lights are set, all we need now is a crap local DJ and a minor celeb.

The stage has been set up opposite Gap, but let's face it, we all only go to see the fireworks off the top of Debenhams.

Things will start up about 5ish but make sure you get there nice and early as the cattle will be out in force.

17:26 - The crowds have started to build up, no sign of crap local DJ.

17:30 - Crap DJs have turned up.

17:40 - For some reason they're playing 'Play your cards right'.

17:55 - Dave Can't Dance are keeping the crowd vaguely occupied.

18:00 - Lots more people have turned up, it's gonna be a nightmare getting out of here. Some people are doing breakdancing on the stage. Very festive.

18:10 - The low point of the evening. They've got the work experience boy out.

18:15 - At last. Kinda purty I guess. Time to enjoy the fireworks.

18:25 - And home...
