Dr Who 'star' invades city library

14/11/08 - 0 comments

For fans of Dr. Who there's a treat in store as one of the actors from the popular television series will be meeting, greeting and reading to fans at Exeter's central library.

Now we feel we should point out that, although the actor has written, directed and starred in numerous episodes of Dr. Who, he may not be instantly recognisable.

It's not the Dr., it's not captain Jack, nor is it a big titted apprentice. It's Exeter University graduate Nicholas Pegg who spends a large amount of time on set sat in a dustbin. That's right, he's a Dalek.

Nicholas will be reading his story entitled 'Hold your Horses', one of two stories he wrote for the 2008 and 2009 Doctor Who Storybooks, although were guessing he won't be doing it from within his tin can, although that would be vaguely interesting to watch.

"A great deal of my childhood was spent reading stories about Doctor Who," said Nicholas, "so it's a pleasure and a privilege to find myself contributing to the Doctor's adventures for a new generation of young readers."

Yeah, that and trying to exterminate him, eh? Nicholas will be visiting the library on Wednesday, November 19.
