It's cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere

I'm sure you've all noticed that for the last couple of years our summers have gotten progressively worse, but is there something sinister to blame?

Here at the TIE office we think this increasingly inclement weather may have something to do with the fact that the Met Office moved down to Exeter in early 2004.

We know this relocation brought jobs to the area but surely nicer weather is far more important?

It's a well known fact that these weather buffs like to do experiments on the weather, especially since places like Edinburgh University received grants to make a machine to produce rain in places that need it, and the Chinese were launching rockets into clouds to prevent it raining at the Olympics. Are these the kind of experiments that are causing our crappy summers?

We're not naive here and we realise England doesn't actually have its own weather system, we know that we are stuck in between the USA and Europe and we just end up getting their cast off's mixed together with a large portion of gulf stream, but surely being so very close to Europe we should see some nice weather from time to time.

What you think? Are those meddling kids at the Met Office to blame for our recent runs of shitty weather and the lack of a decent summer? Have they fired off one to many rockets into the stratosphere? Have they gone beyond predicting the weather and started making the weather fit their forecasts? There's a conspiracy here somewhere...
