Just call us futurists

It's as if the decision makers at the Exeter City and Devon County Councils actually read this site for ideas of community projects.

Last month we mocked up an alternate vision for the installation at the bottom of Heavitree including some graffiti styled text to "get the kids involved", so when we heard that a 50ft-high sea and sky-scape had been painted by local Devon graffiti artists we thought it sounded familiar.

A 17-strong team painted the mural which isn't thought to have cost even half the £70k that the Heavitree Arch will have thrown at it and is far more bright and cheery.

Now if only we could get the buses to run on time...
