Once upon a time there was an advert for Tango where a rotund, bald bloke, painted orange slapped a guy round the face to symbolise the refreshing taste of the orangey drink, thus was born 'happy slapping'.

Over the next few years people would video themselves attempting to injure each other as they thought it was funny to watch someone get deafened or stabbed or shot. It seems that these people have something wrong with their brains. They're wired up wrong.

Now we're not saying it isn't funny to see a mate doubled over in pain because you've just toe punted a football into his groinal area, because it is. The subtlety is all about the intent.

Robert Palmer claims that when he violently assaulted an Exeter man with a boot and stole his wallet and mobile phone he was in fact making a 'happy slapping video', he had just forgotten to record it on his phone.

The prick has appeared in Exeter Courts today and has pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm, and theft of the victim's mobile phone and wallet. What a surprise.

Looks like the dick is going down for a couple of years, although sentencing seems to have been delayed as he's moved house recently(?).

He's about to move again soon, to a 6 by 8 cell where he should be damn nervous about dropping the soap. Twat.
